Horse Care

The comfort and care of all of our horses is our main priority at Sugar Run Farm.  We turn out daily in  our six large all weather paddocks complete with limestone screenings and our eight large grass paddocks (weather permitting).  All horses get ample time in these fields as we feel this is essential to a sound happy horse.  All horses get blankets changed as needed and any necessary boots when turned out and can be alone or with a buddy depending on the owners desire.

The stalls are cleaned seven days a week.  We feed only quality hay and grain and all horses recieve a suppliment system depending on the horse's need
.  Our staff regularly checks all horses during the day and hay is fed at will.

Our stalls are large and open and all horse's have access to the outside through our unique sliding door and stall screen system or dutch windows.  All stalls have rubber mats and we use a special blend of  bulk shavings are used for the best consistancy and dust management.

The barn has quality air flow for individual stall exchange making it healthy for all horses.   It is insulated and heated for comfort in the winter.

All horses have health records kept, and vet and farrier visits are set up by Sugar Run staff.

We believe the best horse is a happy horse and our goal is to have our horses be both!
